Institutional Membership Questions

Can a university purchase the US$2,500 Independent Organization Membership?

No. Universities, colleges and higher education institutions begin at the University & Large Institution Membership level, with a minimum 12-month membership fee of US$5,000.

Are named member accounts separate institutional memberships?

No. Named accounts are included benefits within the organization’s active Institutional Membership and are administered through the organization’s designated membership contact.

Does Institutional Membership make our organization a GARC partner?

No. Institutional Membership and Knowledge & Research Partnership are separate relationships. Membership provides structured member access and benefits. Formal collaboration requires a separate partnership process or agreement.

Can institutional members participate in research projects?

Institutional members may receive information about eligible opportunities. Participation depends on the scientific, operational, governance and eligibility requirements of the relevant project.

Does Institutional Membership allow our organization to use the GARC logo?

Membership does not automatically grant unrestricted use of the GARC institutional logo or imply GARC endorsement. Any approved membership mark, reference or logo use must follow applicable GARC brand and permission rules.

Is institutional membership automatically renewed?

No. Institutional Membership is valid for the applicable 12-month term and does not renew or charge automatically.

Can an institution request more named accounts?

Yes. Organizations with requirements beyond the standard structure may request a review of their institutional scope and membership arrangements.

Membership Terms & Institutional Status
